The highly anticipated January 2020 Community Day event for Pokemon GO will be arriving on the 19th. Piplup is the featured character for this event. However, players will have the chance to get a particular version of one of Piplup’s evolved forms in Empoleon during the January 2020 Community Day event as well. Fortunately, we have everything currently known about the January 2020 Community Day Empoleon covered for you.
Empoleon Pokemon GO January 2020 Community Day
Players will be able to get this particular version of the popular character during the January 2020 Community Day by evolving Piplup’s evolved form of Prinplup into Empoleon. Players must evolve their Prinplup during the event or up to two hours after it has ended to get the unique version. What makes this version of the powerful creature unique is that it will know an attack it can not usually learn.
Unfortunately, Niantic has not officially revealed what this exact attack would be. We will update this article with the attack that the January 2020 Community Day Empoleon will know when it is formally announced.
There will surely be a vast multitude of Trainers working on adding this particular version of this character to their teams during the first high-profile event of the mobile game this year. It is not every day you can get a character that knows a move that it usually couldn’t learn. No reason to not take advantage!
