With Dragon Ball FighterZ set to release later this week, many people have been asking if the game has legacy controller support on the PlayStation 4. While the game does not currently have legacy controller support on the PS4, this isn’t all bad news. In this article we’ll discuss legacy controller support and offer some alternate options for people hoping to use PlayStation 3 arcade sticks and controllers for Dragon Ball FighterZ. There are a few ways you can get around legacy controller support!
Legacy Controller Support
While Dragon Ball FighterZ does not have legacy controller support for PS3 peripherals, and there’s no word that any potential day one patch will include this, it’s not the end of the world. All of our attempts to use PS3 controllers and arcade sticks on Dragon Ball FighterZ ended in failure, but if you have PS3 peripherals you want to use, you can always pick up a Brook converter.
Brook Converters
There are quite a few Brook converters you can find online that allow controllers to be cross platform. If you have a PS3 arcade stick or wired controller, you can use Brook Super Converter PS3 to PS4. Even if you have an Xbox One peripheral you want to use, there’s a Brook converter for that as well. You can take a look at the entire Amazon listing for Brook converters to find exactly what you need for Xbox One or PS4. These converters offer a seamless gameplay experience and are used by competitive fighting game players across the world.
We’ll be sure to update this article if a patch adds legacy controller support, but in the meantime be sure to check out the general controls and mechanics in our Dragon Ball FighterZ game hub!
