How to Get a Gas Mask in Stalker 2 Heart of Chornobyl

In the unforgiving world of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, you will need any and every type of gear to survive the hazards, and one of them is a Gas Mask. This guide will go through all the ways you can find a Gas Mask early on in Stalker 2.

How to Find the Aurora Gas Mask in Stalker 2 Heart of Chornobyl

To get the Aurora Gas Mask in Stalker 2: Heart of Choronbyl, you need to head towards the first base you unlock near the Zalissya Base – the Radiation Hazard Signs Storage. The base is to the northeast of the Zalissya Base, where you can arrive without facing any trouble.

Once at the base, take the right from the gate and go towards the alley behind the building. You will see a ladder that takes you to the top of the building. Get to the top and look towards the edge on the right. You will find the Aurora Gas Mask on top of a bag placed on the floor. It won’t be easy to spot the bag due to its coloring till you get close to it.

Interact with the Gas Mask to add it to your backpack. You can also loot the backpack for common items, but you won’t find anything rare inside.

How to Find Aurora Gas Mask During The Lost Boys Side Quest

Another way to get your hands on the Aurora Gas Mask is when you are progressing through the Lost Boys side quest. When you enter the location where Mastiff and the group were last seen, enter the hallway on the right and keep following the path till you find a corpse and a bag next to it.

You will find a Fuse in the bag, which you can install in the fusebox inside the room on the left. It will restore the power inside the building and open the door to a room with the Aurora Gas Mask. Go back and enter the newly opened room to loot the Gas Mask. Along with the mask, you will find a UDP Compact pistol and other consumable items.

Aurora Gas Mask is the first you will find in the game, and it will do the job for you just right. There are other better Gas Masks you will get later on, but the Aurora Gas Mask is the best option at the early stages of the game.
