Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is a free-to-play digital collectible card game with over 10,000 cards. Released for PC, Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on 19 January, you may be wondering – does Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel have crossplay?
Does Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Have Crossplay?
The short answer is yes, there is crossplay in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. However, it is not that simple.
You can play your game across multiple platforms. However, to access it across consoles and PC, you need to set up a unique Konami ID. Your Facebook, Google, or Twitter credentials won’t be enough to back up your saved data, and all will go to waste.
Luckily, a Konami ID will load your progress on every platform. Check out our guide on how to link them here.
Note that any gems that you have obtained through microtransactions remain on the platform where they were purchased.
In online play, you will be thrown against players from all available platforms. There is no limit in matchmaking means you will be facing many different decks. This prevents the forming of platform-specific metas.
Konami plans to mark Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel as an official tournament game in the near future. Having crossplay and being available on so many platforms makes it easier for players worldwide to enter contests.
Veterans will adore the new graphics and added characters, while the new players will enjoy the awe-inspiring experience that this collectible cards game offers. No battle is too hard. Trust in the heart of the cards.
