Does Diablo 4 Have an Armory? – Answered

Swap out gear with ease

It has been years since I played Diablo 3. While I don’t have clear memories of my time playing it, I recall the Armory being particularly helpful for swapping out my loadouts without the hassle of manually re-equipping everything. I learned recently that this same feature is in Diablo Immortal, but what about Diablo 4? Well, I figured out the answer to this shortly after playing, and I’m here to give you all the details you need. To learn more, continue reading to discover whether Diablo 4 has the Armory system.

Does Diablo 4 Have an Armory System?

The short and simple answer is that, no, Diablo 3’s armory system did not carry over to Diablo 4.

While Diablo 3’s Armory typically appeared in major cities, Diablo 4 instead has a regular storage stash and a Wardrobe in its place. While these two features don’t have the same functionality as the Armory, they allow you to swap items between characters and change your look.

Unfortunately, since the Armory is not present in Diablo 4, you must manually swap around your armor, skills, and items. It was convenient and efficient, and the newer game has no real, solid alternatives.

Although skill respecs are cheap in the early game, late-game respecs cost nearly 10,000 gold per skill. With that in mind, a full ability rebuild on a low-level character is easy, but doing the same on a late-game one gets expensive quickly. It also takes time to reassign all 50+ skill points one by one.

While we may see this feature added in future updates, Diablo 4 will bear more resemblance to Diablo 2 than 3 in the meantime.

Diablo 4 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. To learn more about the game, check out how to get more Paragon Boards in Diablo 4, or click the Diablo IV tag below to explore our entire article collection!
