When investing plenty of hours into your favorite MMO, it’s hard to fathom switching to a new version. No matter if you’ve been playing Black Desert Online on your PC for years, or have picked it up on your PlayStation or Xbox, you may be wondering if there is a chance that you can migrate your account between these different versions. When it comes to this stunning, action-packed MMO, it’s easy to understand why you may want to bring your progression to other systems, but is it even possible?
Is Cross Progression In Black Desert Online?
The straightforward answer is no, there is no Cross Progression in Black Desert Online. The answer is surprisingly complicated, but it is essentially because every version of the game is different enough that Cross Progression is not possible. The PC version and Console Versions are almost different games, even if they look and act like they are the same.

So, at this point and likely for the future, Cross Platform saves will likely never make their way into Black Desert Online. Even though the PlayStation & Xbox versions of the game do have Cross Play with one another, you cannot transfer your saves between these two versions. However, there is one slight loophole that works when it comes to this.
Cross Progression will work if you are playing on two different generations of the same hardware. If you are playing on PlayStation 4, you will be able to bring your character and their data to PlayStation 5, and vice versa. This may not be the most exciting version of Cross Progression, but you’ll at least have a little bit to look forward to if you’re swapping between these consoles.
While you may not be able to bring your progress to a different console, it may be the perfect time to start a new save with Black Desert Online.
