  • Speak to Moana to begin the quest.
  • Moana wants to talk to you about something she found.
  • Examine the strange map Moana just gave you.
  • Talk to Moana about what the Memory was hiding.
  • Search the different areas in the sea to find something to light the way across the mist.
  • Bring the Torch to Moana.
  • Navigate across the mist with Moana’s help.
  • Something is moving in the water. Try to catch it.
  • Show Moana your catch.
  • Make sure Moana is comfortable in the village by placing Moana’s Fale.
  • Welcome Moana to the Village!

After your conversation with Maui in the previous quest, speak to Moana to initiate this mission. After a brief discussion, you’ll both hop onto her boat, prompting you to talk to her again. She’ll show you a strange map she found, asking you to look at it and make sense of what you see. Head into your inventory and interact with the map to proceed.

After observing the map, talk to Moana again to inform her about the memory. The main obstacle you’ll encounter is thick mist blocking the way to various rich fishing spots, requiring you to venture out and search for a light source to guide the way. From here, you have four choices:

  • Wrecked Boat
  • Sea Stack
  • Small Islands
  • Coral Reef

Out of these four options, your destination is the Coral Reef. Here, you’ll find a torch leaning against a rock, which you can pick up and give to Moana to progress through the quest. You’ll now cross the mist, bringing you to an orange fishing spot. Catch the fish here successfully and show Moana it. Convinced that this is a good fishing spot, she’ll agree to visit your village!

Back in the village, you’ll now have Moana’s home to place down. While you can build it where ever you wish, she’ll show the most appreciation for a location along Dazzle Beach’s coastline. After placing the home and paying the 2000 Star Coin fee, welcome Moana to the village to finish the How Far You’ll Go quest!
