This mobile spin-off of the popular Activision FPS shooter is played by a considerable number of casual mobile gamers – June 2023 showed that there were almost 58 million players! However, if you haven’t tried this mobile shooter yet, you are probably wondering if there is an offline mode in it, like in the main Call of Duty games for consoles and PC. Let’s find out if you can play COD Mobile offline.
Can COD Mobile Be Played Offline?
Since Call of Duty Mobile was conceived from the start as a multiplayer-only title where players fight against other players and bots in various modes, there is no single-player campaign and no option to play this mobile game offline. To play COD Mobile, you need to be connected to WiFi and logged in with your Activision account – there is no other way.
Although if you are just starting out with COD Mobile, you will face more bots than real players in the beginning and, as you raise your in-game Rank, the number of real players in the matches will increase over time. However, in order to play with bots, you still need to be online and logged in, so without an Internet connection you won’t get past the title screen.

Can Other Call of Duty Games Be Played Offline?
Call of Duty Mobile is currently the only active game from this series for mobile platforms, but what is the situation with recent releases for PC and consoles? Can the Call of Duty Modern Warfare II (2022) be played offline?
Well, it is not possible to play the PC version of MWII offline without logging into Battle.net or Steam. Playing the single-player campaign mode requires a constant Internet connection even in Steam offline mode! On consoles, the situation is a bit better – for example, it is possible to play the campaign in offline mode on PlayStation, but only if your account was previously linked to PSN, which is the case with most players, but it will not work with newly created guest accounts.
For a real offline Call of Duty experience, you will have to turn to much older releases from several generations ago, as it seems.
