Can you Get Shiny Golurk in Pokemon GO (February 2023) – Answered

He'd look so much better in steel

Have you ever wanted your own ghostly automaton, like the clay-crafted Golem of Prague? Well, do I have the Pokemon for you! Golurk is a Ghost- and Ground-type Pokemon you can easily get your hands on, at least through the month of February. But will it come in shades of Grey? Can you get Shiny Golurk in Pokemon GO?

Can you Get Shiny Golurk in Pokemon GO (February 2023) – Answered

It’s a new week, and we have a whole new set of Raid Bosses to tackle. And that includes the Automaton Pokemon Golurk, who’s taken center stage along with a series of other Ground-Type Pokemon. But can Golurk be Shiny?

The answer, unfortunately, is no. While Shiny sprites of Golurk exist, taunting us with a more titanium aesthetic, Niantic has not yet released it. And it’s been this way since Golurk made its grand debut all the way back in 2019.

But Golurk isn’t the only one getting zero love from Niantic. Only one of the three Star Raid bosses can be Shiny, and that’s Galarian Stunfisk. Probably the weakest possible choice, as Galarian Stunfisk looks like a dirty footprint in its Shiny version.

We can’t be sure when Golurk will finally get that alternate color upgrade, but it’s still worth picking up three-star raids. It does fairly well in PvP, particularly in Great League and Ultra League.

If you’re struggling with countering it, consider bringing in Water or Dark-Type Pokemon. Golurk is far easier to bring down in these 3-Star raids versus in the Team GO Rocket grunt battles, and he can whittle down quickly with Blastoise, Venusaur, Abomasnow, and Regice. Just bring your most effective moves, like Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Avalanche, and Shadow Ball, and you’ll soon see this Ghostly Titan crumble into parts.
