Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has received a plethora of new content following its official release. This trend of new content for the high-profile title is not set to end anytime soon, as developer Infinity Ward recently revealed a new roadmap for the latest entry in the iconic franchise to the community. This roadmap details some of the upcoming content players can look forward to experiencing shortly. Fortunately for all of you curious folks out there, we have the new roadmap and all of its juicy details covered for you.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Roadmap
The majority of the new content announced in the game’s new roadmap focused on the fan-favorite game mode of Gunfight and what significant changes players can expect to see come in the future. There was also a piece of excellent news for players who have felt like they do not have enough loadouts to have a class for every situation correctly.

- “Gunfight 3v3: Aside from the Gunfight 1v1 playlist we rolled out this week, we’re working on another version of Gunfight, 3v3!
- Additional loadouts: 5 loadouts aren’t enough, so we’ll be adding more loadout slots over the coming weeks!
- Gunfight Tournament: It was incredible to see so many people jumping into the Gunfight Tournament Beta back in November, and we plan on bringing tournaments back once we’ve squashed a few bugs and added in new rewards.
- MORE 2XP, 2X Weapon XP, and 2X Tier events!”
Infinity Ward also detailed how future updates will roll out in the future when it comes to scheduling. Playlist updates will go out on Tuesdays. Developer diary and/or behind the scenes blog will release on Thursdays. Community update blogs will then release on Fridays.
