No game is safe from the dreaded Tamagotchi.

The team over at Infinity Ward has previously confirmed that Tamagotchis would officially be invading the world of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare with the Tama’gun’chi watch, though when the cosmetic would appear for players to buy has not been revealed. While we still don’t have a release date for this random watch of joy, we do have our first sneak peek thanks to Reddit.

An Infinity Ward developer also responded to the screenshot saying that it shouldn’t have been visible in-game yet, though it is still on the way:

Infinity Ward dev ‘ArtPeasant’ responded to the image saying “Your in-game store broke the street date. It’s an error, the watch won’t function properly until the official release date.” He added, “It needs to clear a full round of [testing] to insure everything checks out, so I can’t give a date. Surprisingly complex little creatures.”

Other players are reporting that they are also seeing their in-game shops with the broken street date. Though it looks like a cool blast from the past, it won’t actually be functional until the item is officially launched by the studio.

Curious to see if it’s showing up in your store? The OP mentioned that he found it in a bundle within the shop for 1000 COD points, so if you think you might be one of the lucky ones that has it early, you might want to check now before it’s patched out.

As for the game itself, sans Tamagotchi watch, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Happy gaming and don’t forget to feed your Tamagotchi!
