Borderlands 3 Current Level Cap

If you’re someone that jumped into Borderlands 3 as soon as it came out, flogging through the Vault Insider program and all the related bits and bobs, then you’ll definitely remember the maximum level cap for a Vault Hunter as being 50. That was what it sat at previously before February and the Broken Hearts Day shenanigans rolled around, however. Yes, if you’ve heard that the level cap for the game has been raised then you’ll be correct: as of the previous month, the Borderlands 3 current level cap is now Level 53 up from the previous Level 50.

It’s also been confirmed that the gear cap for your weapons has spiked to Level 53 to accompany that change, so if you reckon you were rocking the best of the best before, you’re now going to want to shell out to actually farm for Level 53 weapons if you want to stay on top of everything and at the start of the curve. This might be a little frustrating if you’re used to being top dog, but we reckon that you could be doing far worse things to actually prepare for the upcoming DLC that’s on its way on March 26. Yes, there’s going to be many a tentacled mess to deal with, so you’re going to want to update your weapons collection anyway.

Now that you know what the Borderlands 3 current level cap is, you can look forward to either bulking up and reaching it or coasting along and upgrading your arsenal of increasingly lethal weapons. Whether it’s picking up something like the Elemental Projector or the fiery Hellshock, there’s a little something for everyone if you’re wanting to get even just a little bit stronger and to push the limits of your power.
