Navigating through all the new weapons in Modern Warfare 2 can get confusing, but at the very least, picking up the VEL 46 is incredibly simple. This submachine, which is essentially the MP7 from Modern Warfare 2019, is one of the first weapons that you’ll unlock in the game.
Not only does this variant of the MP7 have tons of mobility, but it’s also super easy to control and a great starting point for new players or veterans of Call of Duty alike. Plus you’ll only have to worry about one weapon in the entire VEL platform. In this guide, we’ll go over everything you need for the best VEL 46 loadout.
Modern Warfare 2 – Best VEL 46 Loadout
When you put together a build for the MP7 in the latest Call of Duty, there are two aspects you’ll want to focus on; mobility and hip fire potential. The mobility and the base control of this weapon are already high and further tuning only makes it better. Find all the attachments you need for the loadout below.
- Receiver: VEL 46
- Barrel: Tango 228 Barrel
- Muzzle: XTEN RR-40
- Underbarrel: Operator Foregrip
- Rear Grip: Schlager Soldier Grip
- Stock: Demo RXT Stock
To start off the loadout, the barrel slots need to be addressed. For the general barrel, the Tango 228 Barrel is the best option due to the damage range and bullet velocity that it provides. Some builds will use a similar barrel with more velocity, but the negatives are higher and there is no boost to the range. Add the XTEN RR-40 muzzle to bolster all of those stats even further, making the VEL 46 more versatile.

After the barrel pieces, the next step is to pick up some useful grips. Both the Operator Foregrip and the Schlager Soldier Grip are fantastic additions to a fast-firing submachine gun class. We want the added hip fire ability and overall ADS speed that these grips provide so that close-quarters fights are a breeze.
For the fifth attachment slot, we’ve chosen the Demo RXT Stock for further mobility to complete the overall package. If you feel you need a sight, a red dot doesn’t hurt. However, the VEL 46 is a close-quarters weapon with a decent iron sight, so it shouldn’t need one.
