Best STB 556 Loadout in Warzone 2 Season 1

The most popular branch in the AUG tree.

Though it may not be the absolute meta assault rifle at this point, the STB 556 is still a fantastic primary choice in Warzone 2 Season 1. This weapon has dominated lobbies in Modern Warfare 2 and it’s no shock that the rifle can still laser enemy players around the map in Al Mazrah.

Compared to the other assault rifles, the mix between range and damage is just a bit less effective, partially because of the barrel choices we have. But with some attachments added to the STB 556, we can easily contend with most other long range builds. In our guide, we’ll go over everything you need for an effective AUG loadout in Warzone 2.

Warzone 2 Season 1 – Best STB 556 Loadout

What separates this build from other long range AR builds is mainly the barrel serving as a hybrid combination. However, we’re still looking for many of the same stats such as control and overall damage range. You can find all of the attachments you need below.

  • Receiver: STB 556
  • Barrel: Bruen Turaco 686mm
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Stock: Bruen HCR 56 Stock
  • Magazine: 42 Round Mag
  • Optic: Aim OP-V4

The Bruen Turaco 686mm is our hybrid attachment that fills up the barrel and the muzzle slot, but it only counts as one attachment. Like other heavy barrels, we get recoil control, bullet velocity, and damage range. As a hybrid, the STB 556 will also stay suppressed with a higher degree of stats.

Next, we want attachments to focus on recoil control, which is far easier for medium to long-range fights. To help alleviate recoil, the FTAC Ripper 56 and the HCR 56 Stock is fantastic options. Both need to be attached, but the FTAC Ripper 56 will have more stats to offer overall.

Our last two attachments are mainly support pieces that most loadouts have in Warzone 2. We need the 42 Round Mag and the Aim OP-V4 optic. The magazine is used to ensure we stay in the fight much longer without needing a reload. Then we add the Aim OP-V4 for a versatile sight with low visual recoil.
