Best Players in Dunk City Dynasty

Updated – June 4, 2025 – Kevin Durant Update

S-Tier Players

  • Stephen Curry
  • LeBron James
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
  • Clint Capela
  • Luka Doncic
  • Nikola Jokic
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Pau Gasol
  • Kevin Durant

As expected, all the superstars fall under the S-Tier players because of their raw attributes and unique strengths compared to the other players. However, we do have two great starter players on S-Tier, Clint Capela and Luka Doncic.

Clint Capela’s inside protection and excellent rebounding make him one of the best big men in the game. His Snatch Block also forcefully takes over possession when used successfully. On the other hand, Luka Doncic’s ability to create space and shoot the three puts him on the list. His ultimate skill is also one of the best in the game because you can get a free three-pointer from its limitless range.

Stephen Curry is one of the best players in the NBA and in the Dunk City Dynasty. His behind-the-back dribble into a back-hesitation and step-back three is one of the strongest moves in the game. When used correctly, he can always get an open shot.

LeBron James falls slightly lower than Curry, but only because three-pointers become a heavy factor in the game. LeBron’s strength is his versatility and defense. He is one of the best defensive players and can definitely guard all positions.

SGA is also below Curry for the same reason. However, SGA’s Thunder Contact makes him a threat on every play, making him more difficult to guard than any player. He excels in defense and shooting and specializes in mid-range shots.

Nikola Jokic has a unique skill set for a center, but one of his most underrated traits is his ability to pass. Passing might seem unimportant, but rebounding the ball and immediately finding the open teammate for a three is one of the most common situations you’ll go through in the game. Most centers almost turn the ball over by kicking the ball out, but Jokic will never have that problem. He can also score relentlessly inside.

Giannis Antetokounmpo boasts the best defensive skill set among all players because of his size, speed, and strength. He excels in all things apart from shooting, but that’s all you need from him.

Pau Gasol could be the perfect big man because he is probably the best rebounder, even if his rebounding attribute is slightly lower than Clint Capela’s. This is because he still has Move Straight for rebounds, the ability to put back the dunk, and has amazing strength, blocking, and a decent mid-range shot.

Kevin Durant’s ability to do it all puts him on top of the list, including his amazing High Ground talent for his Fighting Spirit skill that gives him an easy three when available. Kevin Durant can shoot, defend, make easy twos, take threes, block shots from the side, and drive to the basket with ease.

However, he does all these at an above-average level, but the fact that you can get someone with no weaknesses on your forward fits perfectly into any team composition. Teams usually go for two guards and a PF/C at the paint.

This is because these guards usually have the ability to take easy threes with their signature skills like Jordan Clarkson, Jamal Murray, and Luka Doncic, which is crucial in the game because 3s are more than 2s, right? Kevin Durant excels at filling all the holes needed for your team.

A-Tier Players

  • Chris Paul
  • Zion Williamson
  • Paul George
  • Jamal Murray
  • Klay Thompson
  • Jordan Clarkson
  • Steven Adams

These A-tier players are great when you don’t think about the superstar-level players. In fact, some of these players are most likely stronger than superstar players when you encounter them because they are most likely more upgraded and enhanced from the duplicate pulls.

Chris Paul makes the A-Tier for his ability to steal the ball, defend threes, and handle the ball. Zion Williamson is difficult to use, but he is a strong finisher and can use the tip to confuse the timing against opposing centers on the rebound.

Paul George sometimes casually intercepts the ball while being a good defender and rebounder, and can hit the three when needed. Jamal Murray and Jordan Clarkson are both shifty players who can score whenever they want, and both of them have good ultimate skills that can hit a three if the team needs it.

Klay Thompson is a discount Stephen Curry, but that’s still great. Steven Adams makes the list because of his strength stat. Because of his strength, boxing out opponents and setting screens may cause them to fall down, giving the team a huge temporary advantage.

B-Tier Players

  • Jusuf Nurkic
  • Bam Adebayo
  • Fu Zhi
  • Devin Booker
  • DeMar DeRozan
  • Andrew Wiggins
  • Russell Westbrook
  • Seth Curry

B-Tier players are still decent, and upgraded and enhanced ones can make them shine like superstars.

Jusuf Nurkic has a practically unguardable Nurk Fade for an easy two while being a decent rebounder and paint defender. Bam Adebayo is an elite player, but he isn’t that strong since his ultimate skill falls flat compared to players like Pau Gasol or Clint Capela.

Fu Zhi makes the list for his stealing ability. Devin Booker is a great offensive player, but his stats, which mostly go into his mid-range, put him lower than players like Klay Thompson.

DeMar DeRozan and Andrew Wiggins are both great wing players overall, but the game’s focus on hitting threes, great defense, and controlling the rebounds makes them look weak. This also puts Russell Westbrook a bit behind, but all three of these players are great if you are looking for easy points in the paint and great perimeter defense.

Seth Curry’s shifty movement and step-back ultimate three earns him a spot on the list, but he is way below average on everything else, other than dribbling and shooting threes.

Other Players

  • Kyle Anderson
  • Jonathan Kuminga
  • Dennis Schroder
  • Hong Shou
  • Cam Johnson
  • Gordon Hayward
  • Julio
  • Zhou Chang
  • Antonio McDyess
  • Brad Miller
  • Morris Peterson
  • Jamal Crawford

Everyone can use these players at a high level, but there is always a better version of them available. Consider it a “why play this player if there’s another player that can do it better” scenario. For example, why use Cam Johnson if Paul George can do whatever he does but better? Zion Williamson is a better Jonathan Kuminga. Antonio McDyess is a way lesser Pau Gasol.

However, the great thing about Dunk City Dynasty is that the difference is not that massive unless you compete for the top 1% of the game. Since non-superstar players are easily enhanced with duplicate cards, they become way better.
