How to Upgrade Players in Dunk City Dynasty
You can go past player rating 99s with this one!

Dunk City Dynasty offers several ways to improve your player. You’ll notice it first from all the different items and currency you randomly get from finishing quests, events, battle pass rewards, and more.
All these items go into upgrading your player, and here are all the ways to upgrade your players in Dunk City Dynasty.
All Methods of Improving Your Player in Dunk City Dynasty
Increasing Potential with Potential Essences

One of the easiest and best ways to get additional attributes for your players is through the potential page. Go to your desired player in the player screen and look for the “potential” icon on the left. You can also tap the “potential” icon on the main screen and look for your player.
Once you are on the potential page, you’ll see 30 open slots. You can equip 10 of each type (red, blue, and green). Each type has varying attributes, but they are mostly mixed. For example, red may have more offensive attributes like +3PT shooting, but you’ll also see some +3PT shooting attributes in green potential cards.
Select your potential and fill up every slot. Upgrade them using Potential Essences to increase the attributes even more.
Upgrading Talents with Talent Cards and Talent Materials

One of the biggest ways to improve your player is from the talent screen. Go to your player and select the talent icon. You’ll see the player’s skills, and you can upgrade each one to a better version. For example, Stephen Curry’s behind-the-back dribble can have an additional back heel when upgraded.
These talents are crucial to unlocking the full potential of a player. However, these massive talent upgrades cost player cards. If you want to upgrade Stephen Curry’s talent skill, you’ll need Curry Talent Cards to unlock one.
The minor talent upgrades only require Talent Materials, but talent skill upgrades require Talent Cards. Superstars require Superstar Talent Cards, which are way harder to get. In this case, you’ll upgrade your starter players more often since they are more available, especially for free-to-play players.
Using Gym Training, Enhancing, and Partner Upgrades

The biggest attribute bonuses you can get for players come from the Gym. Go to your player screen and select the “Gym” below your player’s attributes. It’ll take you to the Gym page, and you can use training, enhancing, and partner to improve your player.
Training uses Energy Drinks to level up. You can level up to level 50, but you’ll need to uncap the maximum level for every 10 levels using an Advanced Drill Card.
In the “enhance” section, you’ll need to get a specific player enhancement card to enhance the player. It gives you a strong badge similar to a talent that really improves the player. However, getting the player’s enhanced card requires you to get the player again, whether through random events or from the Star Voucher or Superstar Voucher banners. Yup, you’ll need to farm player dupes for this type of upgrade.
Partner upgrades are basically extra attributes from random partners they could play drills with. You can receive random player cards that aren’t exactly playable characters in the game. These are mostly for training, and each player should have specific partners for the partner upgrades.
Closet Costumes

For the last player upgrades, you’ll go through your closet and look for cosmetics that give you slight attribute bonuses. These attribute bonuses aren’t significant enough for players to prioritize them. In fact, some highly-stylish costumes provide the same attributes as the other typical costumes. Just dress up your players to your preference without considering attribute bonuses.
