Which Materials to Farm Early in Palworld?

Most materials we will cover in this list are the most basic yet crucial ones in about every survival game. Palworld has a massive number of items for a player to keep track of. But there are some which are more important than others. That’s where this guide will come in handy, especially for a beginning player. Hoard as many of these resources as you can in the early hours of the game, and it’ll pay off in the long run.

Wood

Like in most survival games out there, Wood is among the resources used in almost every crafting recipe. Similarly, in Palword, you’ll need Wood to build your first house early in the game. It’s scattered around the map where you start from in the form of sticks or trees. It’s a pretty useful resource, so try to chop and store as much Wood as you can.

Stone

Ever heard of the phrase “Sticks ‘n Stones”, that’s how far back Wood and Stone go. Stones are just as useful as Wood in Palworld. This resource is vital for crafting several structures and items. It can be obtained by mining rocks. Just like Wood, they are also abundantly available at the beginning of the game.

Red Berries

At the start of the game, your character will get hungry every few minutes, and you will need something to get rid of that hunger. That is where Red Berries come in use. You can get Red Berries from the bushes almost everywhere in the Island biome, and you eat them exactly as they are without the need to cook them.

You can also build a Berry Plantation at your base and farm Red Berries for you and your Pals. Your Pals will automatically harvest the berries and place them in the Feed Box, from where they can eat berries by themselves.

Paldium Fragments

Palworld is jam-packed with a variety of Pals to choose from. You will need Paldium Fragments to capture them. It’s a material primarily used to craft those blue crystal-looking objects which are called Pal Spheres, used to capture pals. But not just that, there are an enormous number of structures that require them for crafting as well.

Fiber

Fiber is the binding resource in Palworld. You can get it in addition to Wood when you chop down trees. But you’ll have to craft a better Axe. You can use Stone for that. The better the axe, the more resources you can harvest. Through Fiber, you can make your bows deadlier and your beds cozier.

Wool

A considerable number of Pals in the world of Palworld drop wool when defeated. Wool can be used to make Cloth, another one of the most important resources, and several other recipes as well, such as Saddles and Beds. You may also assign either a Lamball, Cremis, or Melpaca to the ranch, which will increase its production greatly.

This list of materials will get you through the early stages of the game and will help you with the items you need to craft to get your base level up.
