Red berries are a solid food source for you and your Pals early on, especially if you’re in a pinch and need a quick snack before venturing out and obtaining higher-quality cooking materials. Here’s how to create a red berry farm in Palworld.
How to Get Red Berries and Berry Seeds in Palworld
You’ll find red berries immediately after starting the game by traveling northeast of the Plateau of Beginnings fast travel point and harvesting the nearby berry bushes. Once you reach level five, you can unlock technology to craft a berry plantation, allowing you to farm red berries in your base.
Alternatively, you can purchase berries and seeds from Wandering Merchants in regions like the Small Settlement for 50 gold coins each. Doing this lets you quickly get some without growing your own or finding a bush to harvest.
How to Build a Berry Plantation Farm in Palworld
Making a berry plantation requires unlocking its technology node once you reach level five. Upon doing this, you can build one using the following materials:
- Berry Seeds (3)
- Wood (20)
- Stone (20)
As you collect berries from bushes, you’ll naturally gain seeds over time. However, if you need more seeds and want to obtain some quickly, you can head to the Small Settlement merchant and buy some if you have enough gold coins.
How to Grow Berries in Palworld
Once you build your berry plantation, you’ll go through a four-step process to growing your red berries:
- Planting
- Watering
- Growth
- Harvest
You can complete these steps alone or recruit work Pals to help you. To get Pals to manage the plantation, you’ll need ones with planting, watering, and gathering work abilities and one to transport your goods back to your storage chests. They’ll automatically perform these steps, making your farm automatic and self-sufficient.
Over time, you’ll gather hundreds, or even thousands, of red berries for you and your Pals to eat. Later, you’ll use the same step-by-step process to have your Pals grow wheat for you.
