Idols take center stage in Path of Exile’s Legacy of Phrecia events as it helps players farm more lucrative items and fund all those creative builds from the 19 temporary ascendancies.
These Idols replace the “free” notable passives from the Atlas passive tree but allow massive combos with the right modifiers. Here are the best Idols for farming currency in Path of Exile Legacy of Phrecia.
Best Unique Idols For Farming Currency in Path of Exile Legacy of Phrecia

Destructive Play
2% increased Maps found in the area.
- The Maven casts Up the Stakes, summoning 1 to 3 additional Atlas Bosses when Witnessing Map Bosses.
- The number of additional Bosses summoned is higher if fewer monsters remain on the map.
- Modifiers to the Final Map Boss in each Map also apply to these summoned Bosses.
Destructive Play is one of the most notable Atlas nodes in Path of Exile, and getting its unique Idol will net some currency whether you sell it or use it. The Destructive Play idol revolves around clearing the map as fast as possible.
Linear maps work best for the Destructive Play farming strategy so you always get more Atlas Bosses at the end. You can combine the Destructive Play Idol with modifiers that drop more maps, Scarabs, or any interaction with Atlas Boss drops. Since you rely on these Atlas Bosses for the bulk of your currency, you want to rush to the boss to save time.

Endless Tide
- 2% increased Maps found in the area.
- Beyond Portals in your Maps cannot spawn Unique Bosses.
- Beyond Portals in your Maps have (40-50)% less Merging Radius.
Endless Tide is a unique Idol that synergizes with almost any league mechanic. It pairs well with mechanics like Breach, Delirium, or even Legion. As long as there’s high monster density in the area, you’ll utilize this Idol and add many monsters to your map.
Eye of the Djinn
- 2% increased Maps found in the area.
- Scarabs have a 50% increased Effect on your Maps per empty Map Device slot.
The Eye of the Djinn is the most interesting unique Idol, and it is certainly on its test run in the Legacy of Phrecia event. Since you can have up to four empty Map Device slots per run, the effect can go up to 200%. You’ll use at least two Map Device slots for the map and a Scarab, but you are looking at one or two Scarab combinations that work well together. It saves you more Scarabs while gaining more value using the Idol.
Lone Adventurer
- 2% increased Maps found in the area.
- 10% increased Pack size.
- Only 1 Portal is opened to each of your maps.
The Lone Adventurer adds a lot of risk and even gives off that Path of Exile 2 vibe. As for the reward, it gives a 10% increased Pack Size per map, which is a decent number since Pack Size combined with high quantity and rarity modifiers significantly gives more loot.
However, you’ll risk losing your precious map with one mistake. If you use this strategy while juicing around 40 or more Chaos Orbs per map, it creates a ton of pressure for you to finish the map, or you’ll lose some big currency. The trade-off is usually worth it since most builds should technically rarely die in the endgame.
If you don’t feel confident about your build’s survivability, you can sell the Lone Adventurer and make some currency.
Singular Focus
- 2% increased Maps found in the area.
- Maps found have (200-220)% more chance to be Favoured Maps.
- Non-favored Maps found in your Maps drop as Basic Currency Items instead.
Singular Focus is a “support” Idol that helps you sustain your favorite maps to keep running them non-stop without buying from another trader. Apart from getting all the specific maps you want, all other map drops turn into currency.
Most players don’t realize they make a few Divine Orbs from map conversions, but it really is a big factor when you play with a larger data set – running 100 or more maps.

While unique Idols play a crucial role in some farming strategies, rare Idols give you the bulk of the loot. Since these Idols replace the Atlas Passive tree that gives almost 120+ lines of map buffs, you must recoup those buffs from a 32-slot Idol Inventory.
Luckily, some rare Idol modifiers roll high values, and you must find or buy them.
To know the best rare Idol modifiers, you must first know what mechanic you are farming. For example, running increased Breach Splinters drops with high values will give you significantly more Breachstones. Combine this with increased chances of Breaches being under Chayula, which will also synergize with the whole Breach farming strategy.
Combining league mechanic Idol affixes is the key to a good farming strategy. Some other “generally” good modifiers, such as any increases in rarity or quantity values, are always good. Additional map drop affixes are also great for sustainability and could also be a source of income if you choose to sell maps in bulk.
The combinations are limitless, so you can experiment on your own and maybe find something extremely lucrative. Even farming strong Idols and selling them would be a legitimate farming strategy.
