How to Get Idols in Path of Exile Legacy of Phrecia

Another juicer for your maps.

While Path of Exile’s Legacy of Phrecia isn’t considered patch 3.26, it certainly feels like one with the addition of Idols. They play a crucial role in Path of Exile’s overall endgame as they help shape the map to yield better loot and make it more dangerous.

How to Farm Idols in Path of Exile Legacy of Phrecia

There are several ways to get Idols in the game, but it may take some time to get the one you want unless you trade for them.

Since Idols are not consumed when used, the rarest and most useful idols become more expensive and lucrative if you want to farm and sell them.

Idols drop normally once you reach the endgame. You’ll even find some around Act 9, so you’ll find them before you finish the campaign. They drop at the same level as maps but are rarer when it comes to drop rates.

Besides overworld Idol drops, they are also available as a “gamble” on Kingsmarch. Fasutus’ Black Market received an upgrade from Settler of Kalguur, as you can now upgrade the store to add Idols. The Black Market service upgrade costs 100,000 gold and 200 Versisum Bars. Verisium Bars should be the hardest resource to farm, so you should ensure you will use the Black Market.

If you don’t want to use the Black Market, you can save your resources because Verisium Bars could be worth a lot if you try shipping them for loot.

Can You Reroll Idols in Path of Exile Legacy of Phrecia?

Since Idols may come in all shapes and modifiers, you need to find the “perfect” one. Luckily, rerolling your Idols is possible. You can do the old trick of selling three of the same Idols to a vendor to get another one of the same type with a randomly rolled modifier.

If you have hundreds of useless Idols, you can reroll them until you find a great one worth using or selling. If you don’t, you cleaned up your stash from some useless Idols.

Apart from rerolling them from vendors, you can also throw a few semi-decent Idols in the Recombinator in Kingsmarch, hoping to get a lucky combination.

Recombinators combine random modifiers from two items and reforge them into one that may inherit all the good modifiers from both items. Some Idols are completely worthless, but some may have one or two good mods. Combining them may net you a profit if you are lucky.

Some players even do these crafts, Recombinators, flipping, and other miscellaneous tasks to farm currency in the game.

Keeping Idols is subjective, as they can eat up much of your stash space since some are quite big. It might not be worth it to keep stashing big Idols when mapping, especially if they aren’t as valuable. If you have multiple stash tabs to keep, this could be one source of income if you start collecting them.
