Best FTAC Recon Loadout in Warzone 2 Season 1

Scouting the enemy just got easier.

Warzone 2 Season 1 is already full of meta-contending weapons across nearly every class, and to be frank, the FTAC Recon isn’t one of them. But that doesn’t mean the battle rifle isn’t viable, and with the correct setup, it can easily tear through armor in just a few well-placed shots.

The main issue with the FTAC Recon is that it lacks any stats where it stands out. There are battle rifles with better damage, better range, and better mobility. It’s the essence of a jack of all trades but a master of none. In this loadout guide, we’re going to outline how you can make the jack of all trades as much of a positive as possible so the Recon rifle can shine.

Warzone 2 Season 1 – Best FTAC Recon Loadout

Though the Recon can be used in many ways, we want to focus on the weapon as a long-range rifle. To pull this off, the main stats should be bullet velocity, recoil control, and damage range. You can find all of the attachments you need for these stats in the list below.

  • Receiver: FTAC Recon
  • Barrel: 419mm EXF Barrel
  • Muzzle: FTAC Reaper
  • Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin 90
  • Rear Grip: Sakin ZX Grip
  • Optic: Aim OP-V4

First, we want to add two attachments that will help with the long range build. These additions include the 419mm EXF Barrel and the FTAC Reaper muzzle. Though they differ in slight ways, both attachments have significant increases in bullet velocity and overall damage range. Hitting shots at a distance will be far more effective in Warzone 2.

After the barrel slots, we can add the FSS Sharkfin 90. This underbarrel is chosen because it helps with aim idle stability, a small amount of recoil control, and has nearly no negatives to worry about. If you wish, you can swap this out for some High-Velocity ammunition pushed to max tuning, but that’s up to you.

Our final attachments are the Sakin ZX Grip and the Aim OP-V4 optic. We use the Sakin for pure recoil control due to the high amount of kick the FTAC Recon has by default in Warzone 2. Using the Aim OP-V4 reflex will also ensure we have a decent optic with low visual recoil.
