After adding your items to wares and visiting a merchant, go into the trade portion and click the “Sell Wares” button at the bottom of your screen to sell all your wares instantly. Fortunately, this does not sell everything in your inventory; it only targets items you have added to your wares.

It also doesn’t work while bartering, but the silver icon makes it easier to see what items you plan on selling. You’ll find the trade and barter slider at the top of your screen, which you can swap between to access either menu.

How to Add Items to Wares in Baldur’s Gate 3

To add something to your wares, right-click on the item and select “Add to Wares.” Doing this causes a silver coin icon to appear, showing you that it is part of your wares collection. You can right-click it again and pick “Remove from Wares” to revert it.

If you have many items you want to add to your wares, you can also hold Left Shift and Left Click everything before right-clicking and adding them. Doing this lets you quickly add everything without individually checking each item.

All Items You Should Sell in BG3

Here is a list of items that are the best things to sell in BG3, ranked by value:

  1. Gems: Gems are the safest items for players to sell in BG3. Don’t sell the amethyst!
  2. Ingots: Iron, gold, silver, or bronze ingots are very valuable and get a lot of gold when sold. However, you should never sell Admantine and Infernal Iron.
  3. Tools & Crafting Supplies: Never sell your shovel, but you can sell everything else. You won’t use them.
  4. Green Gear And Armor: Always sell your heaviest equipment you don’t need because it gets you more coin, but don’t hesitate to set some aside for Gale.
  5. Utensils And Home Decor: Pointless home decor that can clog up your inventory. Great for collecting small sums of gold.
  6. Rope: Takes up space and isn’t used as much. Definitely safe to sell.
  7. Jewelry With No Enchantments: Always keep the magical ones for Gale, sell the others for easy gold. All vendors accept jewelry.
  8. Vases: Player should always sell these for gold, especially the decorative ones.
  9. Spell Scrolls: Scrolls that are duplicates to a spell should be sold, but hang onto the rare ones.
  10. Books: Sell these to a vendor after reading them, but you can also keep books for decoration.
  11. Paintings: Good for decorating camp, but poor for encumbrance. They sell for a lot of gold.
  12. Rotten Food: Leave rotten food behind because the gold from selling rotten food this is minimal.
