Baldur’s Gate 3: How to Get a Corpse Rose (BG3)

Powerful toxins ahead.

When you get past Thisobald Thorm and snoop around the many research notes he has in the back of the Waning Moon, you will come across the recipe for a powerful toxin requiring the use of Corpse Rose. These roses are the one ingredient he needed in Baldur’s Gate 3, and now it’s your turn to pick these up for your own alchemy.

Where to Find Corpse Roses in Baldur’s Gate 3

You can find Corpse Roses next to the stable to the north of the Road to Baldur’s Gate portal in the Shadow Cursed Lands. Thisobald mentions a shipment of these roses in his notes and this is the location you need to search. Heading west from the House of Healing is also an easy way to find the shipment if you need some landmarks.

When you reach the stable, any character that gets close enough will roll a survival check. At least one character in your party needs to roll high enough to pass the survival and spot the box of Corpse Roses. You can attempt to dig in the front of the stable, but without passing the survival check, it’s nearly impossible to search the box.

At least three Corpse Roses are needed in Baldur’s Gate 3 to make the special toxin, so the shipment is important. I would save before reaching the stable and continue to reload until at least one member sees the dirt mound. This should be enough for at least one Corspe Rose Salt that can be used in the recipe.

I was also able to find a single Corpse Rose in the Morgue under the House of Healing. You can reach this area by heading to the docks north of the Great Mausoleum. Move to the hidden entrance and search near all the bodies and caskets for the roses. Soon enough, you’ll have your poison.
