To dismiss a party member in BG3, talk to them while in the overworld and ask them to return to your camp. If you find one of your companions too weak or doesn’t fit your current setup, this is an excellent chance to find others to take their place. You can even invite another player to join if you’d like, but this results in you being together for the rest of your playthrough.
