No matter if you’re eager to step into the shoes of the Family, or just want to showcase your stealth and cunning by playing as a member of the Victims, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre does a great job of bringing the terror of the film to a new generation. While there are some disadvantages to being the one strung up in the basement, the tense gameplay and horrifying atmosphere make it even more thrilling than expected. Connie

In-Game Description:

Connie comes from a life on the farm where she never shied away from the work that went along with it. While not quite what you’d imagine a tomboy to be, Connie relishes in being the type of person that will surprise you with her skills. High Proficiency means she’s craft, intelligent, and ingenuitive. A natural tinkerer, her skills are more surgical than strong arm, and her Focused ability can crack a lock in an instant.

  • Toughness – 20/50
  • Endurance – 25/50
  • Strength – 15/50
  • Proficiency – 35/50
  • Stealth – 30/50

Connie Default Perks

  • Focused – Using Focused allows a door to be unlocked almost instantly, but stamina and Family proximity warnings are negatively impacted.
  • Intuition – Holding a key item (fuse/valve) highlights the location it can be used for a set amount of time.
  • Exit Strategy – After unlocking a door, the door stays highlighted for all Victims for a set amount of time.
  • Knock Knock – After escaping your restraints, all basement exits are highlighted for a set amount of time.

Leland

In-Game Description:

While Leland might have wrestled in high school, college life is a long way from high school and his glory days of wrestling. He is the strongest of the group, but Strength is no replacement for actual Toughness and comes at the cost of Stealth. Equipped with the Life Saver ability, he is still no match one on one against the likes of the Slaughter Family and therefore his capabilities benefit from teamwork with his peers.

  • Toughness – 20/50
  • Endurance – 30/50
  • Strength – 40/50
  • Proficiency – 25/50
  • Stealth – 10/50

Leland Default Perks

  • Life Save – Defend yourself or teammates by knocking down and stunning Family members. Does not affect Leatherface.
  • Intuition – Holding a key item (fuse/valve) highlights the location it can be used for a set amount of time.
  • Exit Strategy – After unlocking a door, the door stays highlighted for all Victims for a set amount of time.
  • Knock Knock – After escaping your restraints, all basement exits are highlighted for a set amount of time.

Ana

In-Game Description:

Ana is fiercely motivated by the disappearance of her sister and a natural leader to the group. Determination and sheer willpower are her strongest suits, and she’ll need every ounce of her resilience to endure. her toughness rating is the highest of the Victims, a direct reflection of her strengthened resolve. Her ability, appropriately named Pain is Nothing, reduces incoming damage from attacks and falls. It also grants immunity to the effects of poison.

  • Toughness 35/50
  • Endurance – 25/50

  • Pain is Nothing – While active, significantly reduces damage taken from attacks and falls, while also granting immunity to the effects of poison.

Sonny

In-Game Description:

Sonny might have a slightly smaller frame, but he more than makes up for that with his intellect. He’s not only book smart, he’s quick on his feet and quick with his decisions. perceptive and exceptionally situationally aware, Soony will need to rely on his intelligence to survive, and his friends would be wise to reap the benefits of his abilities. His Heightened Sense ability helps tune into the surroundings and detect noises made by anyone nearby.

Julie

In-Game Description:

Julie is a Southern California native with a sand, surf, and sport lifestyle. Whether or not she’s prepared for the stress and strain of this experience that requires a different type of endurance remains to be seen. Will her physical fitness be enough to carry her through? The Ultimate Escape ability will definitely help by temporarily reducing stamina drain and making her harder to track, giving her a chance at a mad dash for safety.

  • Toughness – 25/50
  • Endurance – 30/50
  • Strength – 15/50
  • proficiency – 20/50
  • Stealth – 35/50

  • Ultimate Escape – While active, grants immunity to tracking from The Cook and Johnny while greatly reducing stamina consumed from running.

  • Exit Strategy – After unlocking a door, the door stays highlighted for all Victims for a set amount of time.
  • Knock Knock – After escaping your restraints, all basement exits are highlighted for a set amount of time.

No matter if you’re hoping to use your brute strength to put a stop to the Family, or want to sneak around in the shadows until you can escape on your own, the Victims all have their own wonderful set of unique perks and abilities that you can use to make them play exactly how you’d like. While I was personally a Julie main, I dabbed in the other Victims for a bit and found they’re all wonderfully unique in their own ways.
