What is “Journey of the Prairie King” in Stardew Valley?

“Journey of the Prairie King” is a top-down shooter minigame in Stardew Valley that you can play at one of the arcade machines (the one with the star design on it) in the Stardrop Saloon. If you beat Journey of the Prairie King once, you’ll receive your own arcade machine of the game the next in-game day in the mail, allowing you to also play the game in your home.

To get the Fector’s Challenge hidden achievement in Stardew Valley, you must beat Journey of the Prairie King without dying even once.

How to Earn Money Quickly in Stardew Valley

To unlock the Legend hidden achievement in Stardew Valley, you need to earn a total of 10,000,000 Gold. Although there are ways to earn Gold quickly in Stardew Valley, this achievement is meant to reward long-term play. The following guides offer quick tips on some of the best-selling items to earn money quickly in Stardew Valley, but still expect to put in a lot of work to earn the Legend hidden achievement.

Sell High-Value Seasonal Crops

The best selling Spring crops in Stardew Valley are Strawberries, Rhubarb, and Cauliflower.

The best-selling Summer crops in Stardew Valley are Starfruit, Blueberry, and Red Cabbage. If you intend to make and sell jelly of your produce, invest in Melon, too.

The best-selling Fall crops in Stardew Valley are Cranberries, Pumpkins, and Grapes, followed by Artichoke. If you’ll be making jelly, focus on Pumpkin.

Focus on Fishing

There is incredible depth to fishing in Stardew Valley. Standard fishing pole fish such as Pufferfish, Catfish, and Sturgeon can sell for up to 600 G each if you have the Angler Profession—and they aren’t even the priciest ones. You can also put even more rare fish in your fishing pond to obtain helpful resources. Even the less valuable fish can add up, making fishing worth your while when trying to rack up the Gold.

The 1.6 update also adds some new, game-changing ways to earn money quickly in Stardew Valley. One such addition is the Meadowlands Farm, which starts you off with two chickens, giving you access to eggs and mayonnaise. You can sell the mayo to work your way up to the Legend hidden achievement, or you can drink it—a worthy alternative.
