When you play a game like Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life that can get repetitive over time, it is nice to have a little change wherever you can find it. In this case, the in-game record player inside the player’s house on the farm allows you to change the music that plays whilst on the farm. Just this little change can put a spring in your step as you harvest turnips, sheer sheep, and churn butter. At the beginning of the game, you will be able to access the record player from the main room of the house. Once Chapter 4 begins, the record player will be moved to your bedroom. This is just cosmetic, and functionality remains the same. Walking up to the record player and pressing A on it will allow you to select a track to play. This same method will allow you to add new records that you receive. There are fourteen tracks that can be discovered, two of which are available from the beginning of the game. These two tracks are titled Quiet Winter and Breezy. The individual methods of obtaining the rest of the records are listed in the table below.

Another Valley, TogetherEat the mushroom to enter the Harvest Sprites house, and then interact with the pot at the back 100 times.
Autumn in Oak Tree TownFrom Chapter 2 onwards, earn 90 friendship points with Kate, and talk to her when she is in her bedroom, on the second floor of her home.
Summer of the PioneerEarn 90 friendship points with Carter, and then talk to him when he is at the Beach on the 3rd or the 8th of the month.
Cafe JazzEarn 90 friendship points with Gavin, and then talk to him when he is in the bedroom at the Cafe.
One Sunny DayEarn 90 friendship points with Chris, and then talk to her in any location.
Joyful AutumnEarn 90 friendship points with Mukumuku, and then talk to it to receive the record.
64 MemoriesWin Charlie and Cole’s minigame a total of 10 times.
Wonderful!!From Chapter 2 onwards, earn 90 friendship points with everyone (excluding Vinnie), and then talk to Takakura to receive the record.
Winter Mineral TownFrom Chapter 4 onwards, earn 90 friendship points with Hugh, and then talk to him in his bedroom, on the second floor of his home.
My Racing HeartFrom Chapter 6 onwards, earn 90 friendship points with your child, and then talk to them when they’re in their bedroom in your home.

Collecting the records will allow you to play some of the most popular tracks whilst you go about your daily life on the farm. Most of the records are directly linked to building up the relationship with fellow townsfolk, and so it is a good idea to start early and offer them gifts on a daily basis. Only Van will require you to spend money towards the record. So, make sure that you have some on hand when he is in town.
