All New Weapons Ranked in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1

Attachments not included

Fortnite Chapter 5 is a fresh start to the battle royale after the OG season went away, and with Season 1, we get a whole new selection of weapons to choose from. But it’s always hard to choose a favorite weapon during a reset, which I can help with by ranking them all.

Every Weapon in Fortnite Chapter 5 Ranked From Best to Worst

The best weapons in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 are easily the Reaper Sniper Rifle and the Striker Assault Rifle. But that doesn’t mean they are the only viable options in the loot pool. Most players tend to have play style preferences and at least three weapons in their inventory. I like to use a sniper, an assault rifle, and a shotgun in my own matches. You can see which ones are the best below.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Weapon Tier List:

  • S-Tier: Reaper Sniper Rifle, Striker Assault Rifle.
  • A-Tier: Thunder Burst SMG, Frenzy Auto Shotgun, Nemesis Assault Rifle.
  • B-Tier: Hyper SMG, Hammer Pump Shotgun, Ballistic Shield (depending on squads).
  • C-Tier: Ranger Pistol.

In the new Chapter, weapons can also have attachments, which is a big part of the gameplay loop. These can change the way these weapons are ranked in a big way. Having an ACOG scope on a Striker will have a ton of recoil and no scope on a sniper will be much harder to use at range. So keep in mind what attachments you like.

I tend to like assault rifles with no optics in this season. However, optics make the weapons feel like they have less bullet spread, in my opinion. But you also lose the advantage of control and third-person peeking. Otherwise, the rest of the weapons are straightforward.

Once you have the best weapons ready to go in Fortnite, make sure to pick up some Medallions as well.
