As of Minecraft’s first update of 2026, there are eight new variants of baby mobs. Many mobs are still missing updated baby forms, though, so there’s a good chance more will be added in the future. As any new variants become available, we’ll add them here, but for now, here are all of the redesigned baby mobs you can find in Minecraft.

How to Get Baby Mobs in Minecraft

There are a few different ways to find baby mobs in Minecraft, depending on how much work you want to put into doing so. Here are all of the methods you can use to get an adorable baby animal friend.

  • Baby mobs can oftentimes be found out in the wild while exploring the world.
  • Baby mobs can be bred by feeding two adult versions of the mob certain foods to have them mate (Like Carrots for Pigs or Raw Beef for Wolves).
  • Baby mobs can be spawned by using a spawn egg on an adult mob. This is the overall easiest way to find them, as you can use the egg to spawn the adult right in front of you, then immediately use the egg on the adult to get a baby.

If you’re unsure what to explore next in Minecraft after befriending some cute baby mob companions, you might get to work taming and riding a Nautilus, getting a Spear, finding some Armadillos, and making some Wolf Armor.
