Excited to see which games will be on the Xbox Series X and how they play? Then stay tuned, because an Xbox Series X Games reveal is coming next week. Microsoft took to Twitter shortly after the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla reveal to confirm a new showcase coming on May 7th for those interested in the next generation.

The first look at the Xbox Series X games reveal will go live on May 7th, which is a Thursday, and will pop off at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. The latest Inside Xbox is all about which games will be available soon after launch and how the next generation of Xbox consoles can handle them. With the confirmed specs thus far that put the next-gen system on par with a high-powered gaming PC, it will be interesting to see that gameplay action in real-time as well as a peep at those drastically reduced loading times.

We first got a glimpse at the next generation of gaming during The Game Awards back in 2019 and since then, Microsoft has been very transparent about specs and what their goals are for the Series X. Given that E3 is no longer happening due to the continued spread of COVID-19, and it looks like all future events leading up into the Fall will have the same fate, it makes sense then that these big reveals would be done in a digital format. What better way to fill that E3 void than with incredible back-to-back reveal showcases.

Sony is also rumored to have a games reveal next month as well for the PlayStation 5, though no details have been confirmed at this time. At least we do know one thing about the PS5 is that it likely won’t look like a fridge.
