Here's is our newest look at Asassin's Creed Valhalla gameplay with a brand spankin' new release date.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Though Ubisoft has previously mentioned Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay, we actually got real gameplay during their most recent Forward showcase. Now we’ve got 30 minutes of glorious gameplay action breaking down exactly what it will be like to step into those Viking boots.

The new gameplay showcased for Valhalla shows off both the male and female versions of the main protagonist, much like Odyssey did with Kassandra and Alexios. From heavy weaponry to seeing skills in action, check out 30 minutes of glorious gameplay action below to see how it stacks up to games from the past:

Seeing Eivor raid through entire villages with a ferocity expected of a Viking, the latest gameplay holds a lot of what Ubisoft took from previous games and what they decided to do a little differently. Shanties are back, which is something we delighted in when we played a few hours of the game earlier this month, as well as heavy loot equipment, utilizing siege weaponry, and being able to blend into the background when needed.

The new gameplay also shows off the Alliance Map, which is the in-game settlement system, as well as how dual-weidling will work and the various disguise players can use when they’re in a pinch.

Stay tuned in the coming week as we get our gameplay impressions out into the wild, including what we loved and loathed about both Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion. In the meantime, be sure to check out our game hub here for Valhalla to learn more about the journey ahead.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla makes its grand debut on Xbox One, PlayStation5, PC, and next-gen upgrades on November 17th.
