It’s interesting what Square Enix has cooked up as of late for a new game announcement. Rather than just going through the usual circles to reveal the project, it’s been rather cryptic about it, starting with the opening of a Twitter account called @Murdered (with the message “What is…”) and sending emails to folks, asking them, “What is the hardest case to solve?” This was also followed by a pair of peculiar images, like the one we included above.
But now the cat is out of the bag. Square Enix has officially announced Murdered: Soul Suspect, a game in which you have to overcome a series of challenges while tracking down a serial killer, in what’s being dubbed as “the hardest case of them all”. No developer or plot details were yet revealed about the game, but we’re sure to learn more in the months ahead, especially with game events like PAX East, GDC and E3 coming up.
Look for more information soon. Preferably not as cryptic.
Murdered: Soul Suspect will release for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC later this year.
