Earlier this year, a new DC game from Rocksteady Studios leaked called ‘Outlaws‘ that really seemed to hint that an E3 reveal would be a shoo-in. Unfortunately, it looks like that won’t be the case because the studio has confirmed that they have nothing to show at this year’s expo.
Rocksteady Co-founder Sefton Hill took to Twitter before the rumors could get out of hand, saying:
Hi all! A number of you have asked so we wanted to let you all know up front that @Rocksteadygames won’t be showing at E3 this year. We’ll be watching as fans but remaining in London, hard at work on our next big project. Enjoy the show!

The above tweet reads, “Hi all! A number of you have asked so we wanted to let you all know up front that @Rocksteadygames won’t be showing at E3 this year. We’ll be watching as fans but remaining in London, hard at work on our next big project. Enjoy the show!”
As much of a shame as the news is, it’s nice knowing something concrete beforehand as to temper expectations. While many of us are dying to see what the Batman Arkham studio has up their sleeves, the industry is continuously moving in a direction where hype has almost become the enemy, so keeping expectations realistic is vital.
The good news is that there are tons of other announcements coming down the pipeline – so many in fact that they are already starting to drift in ahead of the showcase that begins with EA Play on June 7th!
