Will this be a two-for-two for Ubisoft?

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a 2D roguelite action-platformer and the latest installment in the Prince of Persia series, following the wide success of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. In this new endeavor, players will embark on a courageous journey battling the Huns after a devastating invasion of Persia. And it’s up to the titular Prince of Persia—whom players shall play as—to save it from the dark shamanic magic and blood-hungry warriors that ransack and defile the great nation.

Players will explore a “vibrant reinterpretation of Persia” while trying to liberate it. Along the way, players can find items, new areas, and weapons to use in battle against enemies and bosses, which offer a myriad of ways to enjoy the game. With each death, the game will reset and unlock new secrets and paths for the player to explore, further pushing the adventure and discovery forward.

While this new installment will be arriving on Steam in early access next month, Ubisoft states in its official news post that Evil Empire is “working to make the initial experience as polished as possible.” As this will be an early access testing phase, community feedback on current issues or possible implementations to improve the overall gameplay experience will be constantly sought after by Evil Empire as The Rogue Prince of Persia marches closer to launch.
