Rockstar Games: Don’t Install GTA V Play Disc on Xbox 360

Doing so may cause performance issues, according to the company.

Grand Theft Auto V requires an 8 GB install, regardless of whether you own an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. That’s as far as you should go with Microsoft’s console, according to Rockstar Games.

In a tweet, the company advised against installing the play disc, stating it could have a negative effect when it comes to the game’s performance. “For optimal performance, we recommend not installing that disc. We will have more info on our Support Site at launch.”

The game will run fine without the play disc installed, judging by what many people have said across Twitter.

Grand Theft Auto V is available now for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
