New Pokemon Snap for Nintendo Switch Revealed With “Never-Before-Seen” Pokemon Behaviors”

Now is a really good time to be a Pokemon fan, trainers.

A Pokemon Snap spin-off is officially coming to Nintendo Switch as confirmed in a special Pokemon Presents presentation held by the company on June 17. Pokemon Snap was a beloved N64 title that allowed trainers to go out in the wild and harness their inner photographer regarding various pocket monsters. Now, it’s back and better than ever.

The Nintendo Switch version of Pokemon Snap will invite players to various islands to catch ’em all. From beaches to luscious jungles, there are quite a few different locations players can explore when looking to add to that Photodex. Nintendo also promises that fans can expect to see “new, never-before-seen Pokemon expressions and behaviors.” 

 

For those that may have missed out on the Nintendo 64 era, Pokemon Snap was first introduced in 1999 and was instantly a hit among both gamers and critics alike. This particular entry into the beloved franchise has been a highly requested one to receive a remake, or even just a sequel. Considering this showcase was bright and early for many, this was just one reveal out of several that woke us right up with excitement.

We don’t have a release date at this time for Pokemon Snap other than a cute “under construction” sign at the top, but for those fans that are looking for something new now, the Isle of Armor DLC for Pokemon Sword and Shield is available now!
