The Last of Us Part II may have been leaked, but that doesn’t mean the studio is without their fair share of secrets that have yet to be revealed. The Last of Us Part II teases a special reveal happening on May 6th, a teaser was revealed mere moments after NetherRealm’s own surprise reveal near the same time tomorrow.
In the below video it’s a simple title screen but sirens can be heard building in their crescendo until Joel’s tired voice can be heard saying “there’s a cost.”

If you don’t want anything spoiled, we recommend not to look at the responding comment thread. Following a 2-hour game leak, a controversial part in the story was revealed and angered many fans. While some took the leak on the chin and moved on, others feel a weird urge to spoil the experience for others and are selfishly dropping clips in the comments. If you don’t want spoilers, beware.
We here at Prima Games cover leaks and rumors quite a bit, much like any other news site you’ll see online. That being said, the nature of that particular leak was so harmful to the studio – especially following crunch reports – that we made an editorial decision to skip covering it. While a small step, it is hard to see so much work be spoiled for reasons that are not needed.
It will be interesting to see what Naughty Dog has to reveal given that the game has been delayed a few times now. Whether they plan on addressing the particular instance that has so many up in arms remains to be seen, but given that the entire game wasn’t leaked, only a portion of it, it’s possible they might be looking to provide context for any particular narrative decisions.
We will be seeing soon enough because a new The Last of Us Part II trailer drops tomorrow on May 6 at 7 AM PT. In the meantime, check out some of our previous coverage of the game below to play catchup on the latest news before tomorrow’s reveal:
