Mortal Kombat 11 has surprised a lot of fans since its launch with its growing roster of characters and incredible narrative but new Mortal Kombat 11 story DLC is confirmed to be on the way as NetherRealm Studios teases the return of Shang Tsung. With a full reveal coming tomorrow on May 6th, we’ve got our first look at what’s ahead in a teaser trailer just shared.
NetherRealm took to Twitter to share the first teaser for the full Mortal Kombat 11 story DLC featuring Shang Tsung alongside the date for the entire reveal. On May 6th at 6 AM PT, 9 AM ET, fans will be able to see exactly what the story ahead will have to offer with a full-on expansion meant to keep the narrative going and keep fans on their toes.

“The epic saga continues,” teases the above video as the above sequence carries on where the launched story ends. It will be interesting to see exactly what NetherRealm reveals, especially after seeing Raiden and Lui Kang work in tandem to create a new, better timeline for Earth. But, it’s Mortal Kombat and nothing can be easy, so naturally Shang Tsung rolls up with his own crew for a different kind of party.
With incredible additions to the roster like Spawn and Terminator, and a few key names still missing out of the latest game in addition to the Ash Williams rumors, it’s clear that the future of Mortal Kombat 11 is brighter than ever. With the decisions made with Mortal Kombat 11 and bringing once-deceased characters back into the fray due to silly time magic, the sky is the limit regarding where Mortal Kombat 11 can go. NetherRealm has set this game up in a way where anything is possible and if this story DLC is any indicator, we’re in for a wild ride yet.
