Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation Code Fairy Coming to PS4/5 in November

A chance to play with the mobile suits you like without paying for gacha pulls

Bandai Namco released a new, English-language trailer confirming the upcoming release of Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy for the PlayStation 4 and 5. Split into three parts, the first will launch on November 5, with the following parts coming out through December 3, 2021. This is a single player, story-driven Gundam game built on the free to play, multiplayer Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2’s engine.

This is a standalone, original story (featuring animation from Gundam studio Sunrise talent) that sees a team of ostensibly Zeon-affiliated women piloting classic Universal Century mobile suits. Battle Operation as a series is a “heavier” multiplayer Gundam action game, with much slower-paced and “meatier” combat. Despite not being directly connected, playing one game and achieving certain goals can earn players unique content in the other.

Each part will be sold individually for $19.99, with standard and deluxe bundles also available for $49.99 and $59.99 respectively. The standard edition comes with a set of PSN avatars, and 100,000 DP (premium currency) for Battle Operation 2. The deluxe edition comes with several more bonuses for Battle Operation 2. Regardless of the bundle, purchasing one of them will grant early access to the first part on November 4.
