A new campaign is coming for both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2.

The campaign will consist of 3 maps, Chet Faliszek revealed when speaking to Gametrailers.

The DLC will be entitled The Sacrifice, and will be out on 5th October. It comes at a cost of 560 Microsoft Points on for Xbox 360, and is, once more, free for PC and Mac.

The DLC features a storyline for the cast of the original game and explains how it came to be that they met the characters from the second in The Passing.

The add-on will bring choice to the players on who dies at the end of the chapter. This was previously decided without any player input.

Players will be treated to a digital comic to show who gets killed, which’ll be nice.

Even though play is to be on Left 4 Dead 1 maps, with Left 4 Dead 1 characters, Left 4 Dead 2 weapons will be available to play with.

Valve will also bring No Mercy to the second game.
