Grand Theft Auto Online To Offer $500,000 Stimulus Package To Players

Rockstar Games wants to load up your bank account.

Rockstar Games hasn’t turned a deaf ear to players who have been having trouble logging in to Grand Theft Auto Online since its launch earlier this month. In fact, it’s about to provide a huge reward for those who have been patient enough to deal with its struggles.

The publisher announced today that it will provide a stimulus package to all players this month, starting as early as next week. This means that players can expect to see a $500,000 bonus dropped into their bank accounts.

Here’s how it works – the deposits will be made in two sums of $250,000, so players don’t spend it all at once. Dates for the deposits will be provided soon, likely within the next few days.

In order to qualify for the bonus, you must have played Grand Theft Auto Online once during the month of October, and will have to install an additional title update shortly after the release of funds. It won’t be that large, from what we hear.

News of the deposits will be announced on Rockstar’s Newswire, so make sure to keep an eye on that.

Happy spending. Maybe we should all get together and have a high-stakes tennis game, yes?

Grand Theft Auto Online is available now for Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, as a supplementary download for Grand Theft Auto 5. Be sure to check out our Free Guide for complete coverage on the game!
