Control Resonant Launch Hotfix Makes Enemies Less Tanky and Dylan Stronger
Remedied!
Control Resonant has been available to PS5 Deluxe Edition owners, and Remedy has already announced a hotfix that will go live alongside the full launch. The update aims to improve the game’s early hours, specifically by making enemies less tanky and Dylan a bit stronger.
Control Resonant Hotfix 1.3.3 Includes Several Balance Changes
The launch hotfix for Control Resonant includes several changes, most of which focus on the game’s combat balance. Remedy said the changes are based on player feedback, reviews, and early player data, with most enemies getting reduced base health and requiring less Falter, the game’s version of stun, to set up executions. The Dancer and Deserter bosses are also getting reduced health and Falter requirements to accommodate these changes.
On the other hand, Dylan is getting stronger, at least in the earlier hours, with increased maximum Aberrant Strength and Ability Strength that scale further as you progress through the game.

Remedy is also making respeccing permanently cheaper while increasing the number of “Reset Items” available from vendors. The Artist, the first Resonant boss, will also drop two Reset Items instead of one, making it easier to experiment with different builds, especially early on.
Remedy said in the patch notes that it believes these changes will improve the overall gameplay feel while retaining the intended challenge. The developer also mentioned that it’s improving the UI text to communicate core combat mechanics like Aberrant Strength and Build Power more clearly.
You can read the full patch notes here. This brings the game’s versions to the following on each platform:
- PS5: 01.300.300
- Xbox Series X|S: 1.3.3.0
- PC: 1.3.3
This is Remedy’s first proper attempt at a melee action title, and it’s nice to see them take early feedback and make improvements wherever they can. Enemies being too tanky, especially in the early hours, has been a common criticism in reviews and early player feedback, so it’s good to see it addressed alongside the full release. Remedy will likely continue taking feedback, as it has with its past releases, and address any lingering complaints and known issues.
