Pals in Palworld constantly get sick, whether from poor working conditions or getting stuck on a roof. Thankfully, the morally questionable Mind Control Meds can nudge your Pals in the right direction. This guide covers what Mind Control Meds are, how to get them, and if they’re worth the price.
How do Mind Control Meds work in Palworld?
When fed to a Pal, Mind Control Meds will cure any negative status conditions and restore their Sanity (SAN) to 100%. That’s it! No actual mind control is involved — other than the implication of making your Pal forget why they’re depressed or have a broken bone.
Despite the dubious name, Mind Control Meds have no harmful effects. As hilarious as it would be, your Pals don’t suddenly break free of mind control and enter an existential crisis. They’re simply the highest-tier medical supplies in Palworld.
How to get Mind Control Meds
Mind Control Meds can be purchased for 10,000 coins or crafted at an Electric Medicine Workbench. I’ve only found Mind Control Meds being sold by the Wandering Merchant in Duneshelter, though other vendors may stock this shady medicine.
You can keep a merchant close to hand for all your purchasing needs by capturing them the same way you would a Pal. Once you have captured them in a PalSphere, deploy them at your base for an on-hand merchant.
It is also possible to summon Mind Control Meds from thin air. To do so, you can essentially cheat your way to them. To open the Console Commands list, simply press Enter and type DropItem Mindcontroldrug.
How to Craft Mind Control Meds in Palworld
To craft Mind Control Meds, you need to use an Electric Medicine Workbench in your base. This is unlocked at Level 43 in the Technology tree and requires a source of electricity to operate.
These are the materials you will need to craft Mind Control Meds:
- Refined Ingot x10
- Horn x10
- Bone x5
- Pal Fluids x2
As you can tell, Mind Control Meds are pretty expensive to craft — especially when you consider that they can only be used once. Depending on the severity of your Pal’s health and Sanity, a lower-grade medicine can be a better choice. Sometimes, it is just better to capture another one of the sick Pal and replace them. It’s a hard world out there.
How to use Mind Control Meds
Mind Control Meds are “fed” to Pals in the same way as food.
- Approach the Pal you want to use Mind Control Meds on
- Select Open Menu (4 on PC)
- Select Feed
- Select Mind Control Meds
If you want to use Mind Control Meds on a Pal in your party, open your Inventory, select the medicine, and then select the appropriate Pal.
