To start, create a new character and age up, maintaining high smarts and athleticism along the way until you graduate from secondary school. While you’re not required to max out your smarts and health, keeping these high by reading books, going for walks and visiting the gym will will help you in the long term.

Once your character turns 18, head into the full-time jobs list and scroll down until you find either the Cadet, Trooper or Patrolman careers. In other words, any job that has the police car emoji and “Police Department” tag beside the name will work. Just to make sure, though, you can tap on the job and make sure it says police officer next to career. Just be careful since you may find jobs like corporal, sergeant or inspector instead of entry-level police officer positions.

If you don’t find these jobs right away, age up or restart the BitLife app and recheck the list until you see them!

If you’ve applied for the position and are not accepted, try to hit the gym a few more times to maintain high health before trying another year. While a university degree isn’t required, you can also try to pursue a criminal justice or law program to boost your chances.

After you’ve spotted the police officer career, apply for the position and pass the interview to become a police officer in BitLife!
