How to Get the Draupnir Spear in God of War Ragnarok

The Draupnir Spear is a weapon you’ll obtain during Chapter 10 of the main storyline. During this quest, you’ll visit Svartfheim with Brok, in which you’ll eventually encounter the Lady of the Forge, who will gift you the Draupnir Spear.

To reach the Lady of the Forge, Kratos and the team will be making their way through the Myrkr Tunnels which eventually lead to The Forge. First, you’ll solve a few puzzles, which mainly consist of moving waterwheels via geysers that must be frozen. Don’t worry – if you have trouble solving the puzzles, Atreus will inevitably lead you to the solution, whether you ask for the help or not.

After the waterwheel puzzles, you’ll find a broken elevator. Brok will ask you to help find some nearby materials to fix it and, once repaired, will lead you straight to the Lady of the Forge, who will hand you your new favorite weapon.

The Draupnir Spear is a versatile tool. Not only does it act like a normal weapon, dishing out both light and heavy attacks, but it can also be thrown, duplicated, and detonated. Throwing spears into enemies and detonating them will deal damage, obviously, but throwing and detonating them at the golden cracks in walls you’ve previously seen will reveal new pathways and hidden areas.

Additionally, the spear can be thrown into spouts of wind, allowing Kratos to ride it into previously inaccessible areas.
