What are Challenge Battles in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Wave 2? – Answered

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is one of the biggest RPG surprises of this year; the sequel to Monolith Soft’s JRPG arrived at the end of July 2022. The massive world and story of this title required over 100 hours of playtime, but there is even more! The new content from the Season Pass divided into Waves has started to arrive. What are Challenge Battles in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Wave 2?

DLC Wave 2 is coming to Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on October 13, 2022, and brings the first round of Challange Battles. In this mode, players will face tough challenges in consecutive battles against very hard opponents. Completing Challenge Battles will award players with crystals that can be exchanged for powerful new accessories and even some fresh outfits. Speaking of outfits, along with Wave 2 the long-awaited swimsuits for all playable characters will be added. It was only a matter of time!

Challenge Battles will be a very familiar concept to all players of the previous sequel, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, because the same was added there later. For now, we only know that this new challenge is coming in the third game with the Wave 2 update, but we don’t have a complete list of battles and rewards yet. The also announced Wave 3 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC updates will arrive by April, 30, 2023, and it will bring even more Challenge Battles.

Wave 2 will also bring a new playable character robot girl, Ino, along with her hero quest which, when completed, gives players the ability to access her class and assign it to other characters.
