Code Vein isn’t just about being the hottest anime vampire out there. It’s also about kicking the most butt, and in order to do that, you need to not only master the game’s many classes (Vestiges) but you also have to have a firm grasp on all the dope weapons that will get thrown at you. We quite like the Black Knight series of stabby things, so check out our Code Vein Black Saber guide on how to get this weapon.

Code Vein Black Saber Guide: How to Get This Weapon

The Black Knight series of weapons is one of a number of sets available in the game. These different weapon sets have requirements to wield, like most other items in the game, and have a more stylized look compared to more basic weapons as well as cool passives in some cases.

The Black Knight series of weapons contains:

  • Black Saber
  • Black Halberd
  • Black Greatsword
  • Black Bayonet

If you’re wondering how to get your hands on these, we’ve got good news and bad news. Like most obtainable item sets in the game, they often drop from a particular enemy that they’re named after. In this case, it’s the Black Hunters that are often found roaming in the Fortress. If you hang around the Outlook Tower as well, you should be able to farm them for their weapons. Unfortunately, the drop rate, as you can imagine, is not particularly good.

Enter: Depths Maps. If you’re kicking around with not much to do, we would recommend checking out the Depths dungeons because you can actually pick up a whole bunch of loot there from chests. It’s not just valuable resources. You can net all four of the Black Knight weapons, including the Black Saber, from Depths chests. These are, of course, also luck-based and will provide you with less certainty than just knocking about some of the Black Hunter enemies for laughs. That being said, it’ll be a nice way to break up the proceedings instead of killing the same foe over and over again to get their shiny halberd. Regardless of the method that you choose to go with, time and persistence will net you the Black Saber.
