Halo Infinite Trailer Hides a Secret Message That Hints At Cortana’s Return

Could Cortana be returning? According to this Halo Infinite trailer secret message, it's likely!

You know a trailer is good when we’re still finding secrets from it even two months later which is exactly what’s happening with the Discover Hope Halo Infinite trailer that debuted back in June during E3. When 343 Industries teased a “surprise” hiding in the trailer, fans immediately responded with Challenge Accepted and that challenge has finally seen fruition with an interesting decryption of an audio message.

The message itself was found in Master Chief’s startup UI seen in the trailer. At first glance, it just looks like techie mess but upon a little digging, it actually forms a QR code as found by Xepyal. This code then leads to a 40-second audio file that opens up in a new url which starts off with awesome music and footsteps. After a few garbled tries, its sounds like Cortana saying “This … this is part of me. I don’t know why. I don’t know how … but it is me.”

Can I get a HELL YEAH?!

The bad news, fellow Halo fans, is that clarification on this neat find is not going to be coming soon. Following its Discover Hope trailer, 343 Industries has confirmed that they are “going dark” about their upcoming IP until E3 NEXT YEAR. So, let’s all cry together and kill each other with needlers until then, shall we?

We still don’t have a release date at this time outside of a holiday 2020 launch.
