It’s pretty disappointing that even with a re-release, the title isn’t getting crossplay functionality, which is the norm for modern fighting game titles. If Team Ninja and KOEI Tecmo really want Dead or Alive 6 to gain a loyal and healthy audience, they should reconsider their approach to the online component.

As of writing, there is no word on rollback netcode availability either, which, alongside crossplay, is expected in most fighting games for a smooth online experience.

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round Release Date

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round is coming to PC via Steam, Xbox Series S|X, and PS5 on June 25, 2026.

Team Ninja also claims that improvements to gameplay have been made, but we don’t know at this point what those translate to. The lack of crossplay in 2026 is particularly concerning, especially for fighting games, which typically have lower concurrent player counts and rely on dedicated players across multiple platforms to sustain their multiplayer scenes.
