Quests often task you with tracking down and interacting with the many characters hanging out around the island in Fortnite. Since the island is quite large and complex, it can be tricky to find who you’re looking for. One of the characters you may need to locate is Dummy.
Dummy is a crucial quest NPC featured in Chapter Seven, season one. He’s been around for a long time, but his presence is more important than ever before, as he’s been tasked with repairing the destroyed battle bus. If you need to meet up with him, here’s where to find Dummy in Fortnite.
Dummy Location in Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1
Dummy can be found at Ripped Tides in Chapter Seven, season one of Fortnite. This is a main POI found near the southwest corner of the island, south of Humble Hills and north of Battlewood Boulevard.
It’s near the very edge of the island, making it a fairly difficult spot to get to unless you manage to land there as soon as the match begins. If you don’t, you’ll likely want to find a vehicle to help you get there faster. Vehicles can be found randomly around the map, but are most common around gas stations and in parking lots.
Since he’s hanging around a main named location rather than a smaller Landmark, Dummy can be a bit tricky to pinpoint even when you’re at the right spot. You can find him near the upper northeast corner of Ripped Tides, wandering around the parking lot close to the road right outside this area and the battle bus.
Talk to Dummy About the Battle Bus Destruction in Fortnite
To complete the talk to Dummy about the battle bus destruction quest, you need to locate Dummy at Ripped Tides, interact with him, and select the “Ask about the battle bus” quest option. Like most NPCs, Dummy has quite a few different interaction options, but only one that works for this mission. You can look for the diamond icon with an exclamation point in it to ensure you select the right one.
With this quest out of the way, you can move on to tackling other tricky endeavors waiting around the island. Next, you might work on destroying dumpsters to find and collect custom battle bus pieces, finding and using Unstable Element, and entering a Forsaken Rift Gate.
